For this training course, we will be joined by Butterfly Conservation’s Rachael Conway who will introduce us to the world of our native moths. There are several species of moth in the Belfast Hills which have a priority status so we will focus on them and also talk about the moths around us. The course will include a brief classroom session and a walk on Slievenacloy where Rachael will go over moth identification, habitats and their day to day life. A lot of the course will be outside on Slievenacloy, a nature reserve owned by Ulster Wildlife, so please wear sensible outdoor clothing and footwear. We will provide tea, coffee and biscuits.
