TAKE 5 STEPS TO WELLBEING SERIES: BILBERRY PICKING EVENING ON DIVIS & BLACK MOUNTAIN
Grab your jerrycan for a bilberry picking extravaganza! This event will provide you with an opportunity to connect with both the people around you and with the wonders of the natural world as we hike up the hill to the heights of Black Mountain where the delicious wild berries grow.
Then what better way to connect with each other than over a cup of tea and some bilberry pancakes we prepared earlier!
The walk to the bilberries should take about 1 hour and includes some steep uphill parts. This walk is not suitable for children under 6. All children must be accompanied at all times by an adult.
Wrap up warm, wear sturdy walking boots and bring drinking water and a snack.
Booking is essential so we know how many bilberry pancakes to make!
So why Take 5?
Most of us know when we are mentally and physically well, but sometimes we need a little extra support to keep well.
There are five simple steps to help maintain and improve your wellbeing, namely connect, be active, take notice, keep learning and give.
Make it your challenge to join staff from the Belfast Hills Partnership as they provide a range of events to help us build these into daily life.
