Applications to the Belfast Hills Explorer Programme for 16-18 year olds are now closed for 2024. Please check back in a year’s time for the updated programme.

Are you aged 16-18 and interested in nature and the outdoors? Then our Hills Explorer Programme could be right up your street! We’re offering daily FREE outdoor nature sessions for 16-18 year olds from Monday 1st – Friday 5th July 2024, 10am – 3pm.

Each week we’ll be exploring a different site in the Belfast Hills, discovering its wildlife, and helping some of the species that call it home!

Activities will include practical conservation sessions, wildlife surveys, and some other general activities like hikes, bushcraft and arts/crafts. As well as giving participants the chance to explore nature, the Hills Explorer Programme is designed to improve the health and wellbeing of those taking part, with sessions based around the 5 Ways to Wellbeing.

To sign up, just download the form below. If you’re 17 or under, you need to make sure to get the parent/guardian permission section of the form signed. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first come first served basis.

Completed forms or any queries, should be sent to silvia.galli@belfasthills.org

This programme is part of Wild Youth, a joint project between the Belfast Hills Partnership and Ulster Wildlife, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
